As a music lover I've always believed in the magic and power of music and now, thanks to science and technology, we seem to unveil more and more of its secrets! Let's look at some amazing information from BBC News:

1.Why do we like the music we do? It depends on your personality: are you an empathiser or a systemiser?

2.Could technology turn you into a virtuoso - even if you have no musical training?! Watch this video, it sounds possible, doesn't it: it would be my dream come true! So, if you are a musician and need a guinea pig to play music with another brain, I'd be delighted to share the experiment!

A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED! (Charlie Chaplin). GREAT LISTENINGS FOR ADVANCED

BBC English/6 minutes English is a great website to improve your listening skills with lots of different topics to strenghen your vocabulary and pronunciation, too:

For example: a few days ago, two students and I were talking about the power of humour, it may seem amazing but psychologists say that learning is easier when there are smiles or even laughter in the atmosphere.
So, in order to laugh and learn at the same time, I suggest the following:

1.Read these quotes about laughter, which is your favourite?

2.Now listen to these two BBC English/ 6 minute English texts, answer the question they ask, read the text to check while you listen at the same time, and finally...............choose your own conclusions about the power of laughter! :)   :)   :)

A.Laughter is bad for you

B.Laughter yoga
