VARIETIES OF ENGLISH: SOUTH AFRICAN ENGLISH

It is amazing to realize how human societies acquire and use a language in order to develop themselves according to their specific needs. Here is a summary of the history, use, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation of this language variety of English, currently used by about 2.7 million people in the country.
And last but not least! To put theory into practice, don't miss this inspiring video where we can listen to one of South African English most relevant speakers, Nobel Prize winner for Peace, Nelson Mandela, talking about a topic so relevant to our current situation: "the importance of humility".
